I specialize in labour intensive one-of-a-kind novelty cakes.  My cakes take a minimum of 20 hours labour to create and ingredients/materials range from about $75 to $150+ depending on the cake and structure.  So prices for my  cakes start at $475.

Cake prices factor in the hours of labour, specialized graphic design and cake decorating skills, technical equipment, ingredients, structure and packaging.  It's my priority to deliver a novel artistic centerpiece AND delicious cake.

 

I use specialty software and equipment (edible printer, die-cut machine,
airbrush, modelling tools, silicone molds, cutters and sometimes a blow torch!), quality ingredients, including organic where possible, using many specialty goods not found in your average cake, such as fondant, modelling chocolate, gumpaste, edible glue, edible paints, edible paper & ink, edible fabric, edible lace, isomalt modelling sugar, gelatin, heavy duty cake boards,
support structure, cake boxes, etc.  

Your order will be finalized upon receipt of payment.  Payment can be made by e-transfer, cash or cheque.  If I am able to take a last minute order (a week or less before pick up date) a 25% rush fee may apply.

Get booked early!  Custom novelty cakes and cookies are very labour intensive and sometimes take several weeks to build depending on design (the sugar art in particular takes time to custom model and dry, special supplies may need to be ordered, baking and assembly of cakes must be scheduled around each other).  For last minute orders (a week or less before pick-up date) a 25% rush free may apply.

Chocolate, Vanilla, Banana, make a special request (please note this is not a nut-free environment)!  Gluten free is available, and although precautions are made for cross contamination, there is risk for gluten exposure.

My specialty is fondant and food safe hand made decorations.  Sculpted cakes require fondant, a thin layer of buttercream or chocolate ganache is under the fondant - think of it as wrapping paper if you're not a fan of fondant.  Cake toppers/decoration are also hand made from fondant/ sugarpaste/ gelatin/ sugar/ modelling chocolate, etc.  You can have the cake covered in just buttercream or ganache but it will limit design.
